Trip Itinerary

NTH will pick up you from the airport, then take you to the hotel and give you a short briefing about the Kala Patthar trek program. We also help you to hire the equipment rental without any deposit for your trek

You will have an amazing 40 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (9,186ft), from the flight you can see spectacular Himalayan scenery. Upon you arrive at Lukla your trek starts. Porter will be on Lukla who will carry your baggage for the entire trek. From Lukla, the trails go gradually descent to Cheplung village first. You will walk nearby the bank of the river most of the time with the mountain scenery on the north through the pine forests. It takes 4-5 Hours further to reach the Phakding

This is a quite tough and tough day as compared to the previous day. At the morning after you start the trek, you will trek through a beautiful forest filled with pine, hemlock, juniper and more. The trails go slowly up by crossing the Dudh Koshi River multiple times. You will then reach Monjo which is the entrance point of Everest National Park. Crossing the long suspension bridge you will reach to Jorsale. After walking a couple of hours you will Cros the Hillary bridge. The Hillary bridge is the place where two rivers meet and from here to Namche is mostly accenting. It takes a few more hours to reach Namche Bazar. On the way, you will have excellent views of Everest (8,848m) and Lhotse (8,516m.). Namche Bazzar is the biggest village in the Khumbu.

It is the acclimatization day and you will explore the mountain scenery going a small hike from Namche. Hiking from Namche to Everest view hotel is the best and popular hikes. It takes some hours and from the Everest view hotel, you can see the stunning view of the Mt Everest and other mountains such as an Amadablam with the guide. You will explore the countless Chorten and monasteries around the trails.

Trek to Tengboche offers the amazing mountain scenery and Landscapes. You will walk around 6-7 hours to reach the Tengboche. In Tengboche, you can visit the Monastriey which gives you an overview of Buddhism and the Buddhist culture of the Sherpa People.

Your Journey to Dingboche is quite tough because you need to walk on the altitude where there is thin air. You should trek through wooded forests which is very thin in the density on Imja Khola valley. The views become more impressive when you go higher. Crossing Pangboche village and the mani walls of the village you trek continue towards the Dingboche. It takes some more hours to Arrive Dingboche



You will reach to Lobuche today, First of all, youu2019ll across Thukla after you walk from Dingboche. Thukla is a small settlement, from here the trail slowly climbs to Pheriche (4210m). From here the trek route gets a bit harder. The trekking trails from here go down to the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. This is one of the big glaciers of Khumbu. crossing the moraine of the glaciers, the view some isolated peaks like Khumbutse, Pumori is visible perfectly. After some walk, youu2019ll reach Lobuche. This is a small settlement where the hotels are there for tourist.

Everest Base Camp is our destination today, we need to start early today. It might take a long time as the trail climbs through the ice, crevasses of the Glacier. Due to altitude, You might even count your steps. The AMS chance is very high here. Accent and slow walk from Lobuche alongside the right side of the Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep. This is elevated at 5181m/16994ft. upon onward from here there is no tea house/lodges. There is a big trail to reaches Everest Base Camp. You can see Khumbu Icefall from here. Depending on whether you need to spend the time on Everest base camp, After base camp, you need to go back to Gorakshep for overnight stay.

The group should make an early start to avoid the early morning clouds and fogs to trek Kala Pattar (5545 m). Kala Pattar is the best viewpoint of Everest as well as Nuptse. Some people get emotional when they are here and might get tear on eyes because of a long and tough hike. To go to Kala Pattar from here, the trail is ascent and quite steep. Pumori can see from here. It might take 2 hours to reach Kala Pattar. From here you can see Nuptse, Pumori, Changtse, Taweche, Ama Dablam and Mt Everest. From Kala Pattar, Everest base camp is visible at bowl shape. When you back to Gorakshep you will do breakfast then start trek to Pheriche.

Now your trail always goes decently down through rocky terrain. During the trek route, you would see rhododendron forest. During the trek, you would pass Tengboche where there is the famous and oldest monastery of this region. You go still descends from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) on this time you would pass several tiny villages.

First of all, we go steep down. After crossing the suspension bridges over the fast flowing Dudh Koshi and its tributaries, the trail becomes more level and natural. After our arrival in Lukla, we stretch those sore legs and recall the experiences of the last couple of weeks. Overnight in Lukla.
